H-D says to change my engine oil every 5000 miles. I ride 2500 miles per year. I only need to change my engine oil every 2 years?

No. If you ride less than 5000 miles per year, changing the oil yearly is recommended, prior to winter storage, to remove harmful contaminants.

My legs are too short for my bike, should I lower it?

Yes, lowering a bike is a viable option! In some cases lowering will reduce your maximum lean angle and could change steering geometry resulting in less than desirable handling characteristics. A great first step is to simply get a different/narrower seat. Call WHD to discuss your options.

When should I replace my tires?

Tires on average last between 5k & 10k miles (sometimes
longer as it depends on the tire and inflation habits of the rider) and
should be replaced once the tread depth reaches 3/32”, or shows signs of dry
rot or physical damage. Tires @ 10 yrs old should be changed regardless of
condition or tread depth per manufacturer recommendation.

Do I need to make an appointment for Service?

The Service Department at Wolverine does HIGHLY recommend an appointment to provide the fastest turn around time possible and get the bike back to you in a timely manner. However, we will never turn a bike away for service if an appt has not been
made, it will just not hit a bench until the 1st available opening presents itself.

Kris has been with Wolverine H-D since 2013 and entered the motorcycle industry in 1995.He has been a Master Harley-Davidson Technician since 2003 and has thousands of hours of experience utilizing Wolverine's state of the art Dynojet Model 250i dynamometer. He's spent his entire career servicing motorcycles in southeast Michigan and currently owns 7 motorcycles (Don't ask, we don't understand it either). He's been riding motorcycles since he was 5 years old so it's no surprise he's embedded into the motorcycle industry.
