No. If you ride less than 5000 miles per year, changing the oil yearly is recommended, prior to winter storage, to remove harmful contaminants.

Yes, lowering a bike is a viable option! In some cases lowering will reduce your maximum lean angle and could change steering geometry resulting in less than desirable handling characteristics. A great first step is to simply get a different/narrower seat. Call WHD to discuss your options.

Tires on average last between 5k & 10k miles (sometimes longer as it depends on the tire and inflation habits of the rider) and should be replaced once the tread depth reaches 3/32", or shows signs of dry rot or physical damage. Tires @ 10 yrs old should be changed regardless of condition or tread depth per manufacturer recommendation.

The Service Department at Wolverine does HIGHLY recommend an appointment to provide the fastest turn around time possible and get the bike back to you in a timely manner. However, we will never turn a bike away for service if an appt has not been made, it will just not hit a bench until the 1st available opening presents itself.

Kris has been a key part of the Wolverine Harley-Davidson® Service Department since 2013, bringing decades of experience in the motorcycle industry dating back to 1995. He achieved the title of Master Harley-Davidson® Technician in 2003, a distinction that reflects the highest level of factory training, certification, and technical expertise.
With thousands of hours of hands-on experience using our state-of-the-art Dynojet Model 250i dynamometer, Kris specializes in Harley-Davidson® performance tuning, diagnostics, and engine optimization, helping riders get the most out of their motorcycles.
Having spent his entire career servicing motorcycles across Southeast Michigan, Kris has built a reputation for precision, performance, and trust. And his passion goes far beyond the shop—he’s been riding since the age of 5 and currently owns an impressive collection of 7 motorcycles (yes, we’re just as curious as you are).
